2026 Nfl Draft Order Updated Picks After Week 9 Sunday Slate
Trade season is about to come to a close and the regular season is entering the second half. That can only mean one thing – NFL draft season will be here before you know it. That's a time of year that can't come soon enough for teams that have seen far more losses than wins in 2025. The Tennessee Titans, New Orleans Saints and New York Jets remain in a three-team race for the top selection at the halfway point. While we seem to know the contenders for making the pick, it is anyone's guess which name will be called first in April. Quarterbacks may ultimately headline this class, but depth at receiver and offensive line shouldn't be overlooked either.
Unlike the 2025 draft, every team doesn't own its first-round pick – something that only adds to the intrigue. Some teams are looking to arrange accommodations for January and February. Others already have their sights set on the spring. Here's a look at the 2026 NFL Draft order following Week 9. Stay ahead with the latest 2026 NFL Draft Order, updated weekly. Mark your calendars — the 2026 NFL Draft takes place on April 23-25, 2026.

The New Orleans Saints and Tennessee Titans' matching four-game losing streaks put them at the top of the projected 2026 NFL draft order after Sunday. Both the Saints and Titans lost by double digits on three occasions during the current losing streaks, a sign that neither team is turning the corner anytime soon. New Orleans, Tennessee and the New York Jets are the only one-win teams left in the NFL. The Jets dropped down to the No. 3 pick in the projected order because they have one fewer loss due to their Week 9 bye.

The Tyler Shough era began with a 34-10 loss to the Los Angeles Ram. There were two teams who have been fixtures in NFL Draft order posts on a bye this week: the Cleveland Browns and New York Jets. Ironically, those two teams not only return to action in Week 10, but they’ll face one another. When the regular season is over and fans reflect upon the season, that game could be the difference in one of those clubs being in position to draft a quarterback in April.
A Sunday afternoon game was particularly brutal for Browns fans, as the Jacksonville Jaguars escaped Las Vegas with an overtime victory against the Raiders. Cleveland holds Jacksonville’s first-round pick and has the same number of wins as the Raiders. As a reminder, there are three teams without a first-round pick in 2026 as a result of draft-day trades and the Micah Parsons deal: Atlanta, Green Bay and Jacksonville. Here is the current 2026 NFL Draft order, per Tankathon, as well as potential team needs: The Saints lost their first four games before securing their first win. They’re currently on a four-game losing streak.
Will they snap it again next week against the Panthers? The NFL has seen nine weeks of the season come and go. In the process, teams have emerged as contenders, others have sunk, and through it all, team needs have started to unfold as their front offices get ready for the NFL Draft that will be... As we go through the season, we will be posting updates of the draft order so you can see where the Bucs are, as well as others in the NFC South. Like we did with Summer scouting, we want Bucs fans to be the most knowledgeable fans. To do that, you need to have some well-rounded football awareness, and this helps with that.
With that in mind, here is the draft order as the league enters November. Note: The draft order is set following Monday Night Football of Week 9 according to Tankathon. Atlanta Falcons (pick belongs to LAR) 3-5 According to the NFL, when teams finish with identical records and strength of schedule, additional tiebreakers are applied in the following order: Note: Playoff teams are slotted after non-playoff teams, with Super Bowl participants selecting last. The NFL's race to the bottom figures to be almost as heated as the race to the playoffs over the back half of the regular season.
The Tennessee Titans, Miami Dolphins and New York Giants all lost early in Week 9, strengthening their grip on a top pick in next spring's NFL Draft. And with other two-win teams like the Browns, Cardinals and Raiders breathing down their neck, there's little margin for error — er, success. The top of the draft board is beginning to take shape, and is the order of the top 10 solidifies, it's looking more and more like 2026 might be a year that bucks the... Either that, or we're in for some frantic wheeling and dealing at the top of the board: Of the current top five teams, only the Jets are clearly in the market for a new... You can make an argument for the Saints as well, and maybe even the Dolphins as Miami moves on from Tua Tagovailoa. But the Titans and Giants already have their signal-callers of the future, meaning they should be open for business.
That's great for New York and Tennessee, obviously, which could either amass a haul of draft capital or sit tight and simply take the best players available. (Which, in a QB class filled with question marks, might be the safest bet.) It could also be great news for teams like the Browns and Raiders, as well, who are likely too talent... But now that we're getting through Week 9, it's time we take full stock of the 2026 NFL Draft, starting with the updated draft order and then moving into a mock draft for the... The Titans were game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday afternoon, but in the end it's yet another loss for Cam Ward and Co. That temporarily bumps them ahead of the Saints, although New Orleans will likely match them at 1-7 barring a borderline miraculous upset of the Rams in L.A. Tennessee is committed to Ward, as it should be, and so the Titans front office will have to decide whether it wants to take the top player on its board or move down a...
Most NFL teams still have a path to the playoffs entering Week 11. Some, though, may already be thinking about 2026. The race for next year’s No. 1 pick is on, with several struggling teams in 2025 tracking toward a top-10 selection. With much of the second half of the season still to play, the top three teams in the hunt for the No. 1 pick are the Tennessee Titans (1-8), New York Giants (2-8) and New Orleans Saints (2-8).
While the Saints have a bye in Week 11, both the Titans (vs. the Houston Texans) and Giants (vs. the Green Bay Packers) face tough matchups. The Cleveland Browns, New York Jets and Las Vegas Raiders are also firmly tracking for top-10 picks. Several teams also owe their 2026 first-rounder to another franchise: The Los Angeles Rams own the Atlanta Falcons’ pick, the Browns own the Jacksonville Jaguars’ pick, the Packers will send their first-rounder to the... How is the 2026 NFL Draft order shaping up?
