The what now, you say? Well, it was none other than the game between the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Giants, the holders of the Nos. 1 and 2 picks in the draft coming into the week. A win by the puts the Raiders in the No. 1 spot but they don’t have the pick locked down quite yet. While there’s a long way to go between now and draft day, it certainly feels like a fait accompli that the Raiders will pick a quarterback in the first round for the first time... The Jets tore things down to the studs at the trade deadline and now have a pile of draft assets to help them reset, including four of the top 50 picks.

It looks messy in Arizona after the team’s collapse following a 2-0 start to the season. The first priority has to be charting a path forward at the quarterback position, with Kyler Murray’s future murky. With two weeks remaining in the 2025 NFL season, the Cleveland Browns were “fighting” for the top spot in the 2026 NFL draft order. Los Angeles Rams (from the Atlanta Falcons) New York Jets (from the Indianapolis Colts) The Cleveland Browns had an AFC North altering win on Sunday, defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers 13-6. Now, with one week left in the regular season, the Steeelrs will play the Baltimore Ravens in Week 18 for the division crown. The Browns, on the other hand, will finish their season with a road game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

While Cleveland isn’t playing for a playoff spot, the team’s results do affect another important position. That position is draft position in the 2026 NFL Draft. The Browns entered Sunday with a chance to move into the top two, and could’ve possibly ended the season with the No. 1 overall pick. However, the huge win over Pittsburgh on Sunday put that to bed, as Cleveland tumbled outside of the top five in the 2026 Draft. Cleveland entered Sunday slotted at the No.

3 pick in the draft, however, after picking up the team’s fourth win, the franchise is now sitting at pick No. 6. With a few more results left to unfold in Week 17, and all of Week 18, that could change, but the Browns won’t finish the year with a top-two pick. With the New York Giants and Las Vegas Raiders playing on Sunday, the Giants picked up their third win ahead of Week 18. That will lead to a chaotic final week where the top 10 could be completely rearranged based on season-finale results. The Browns, however, have removed themselves out the race for No.

1 with four wins. When they take the field in Week 18 against the Cincinnati Bengals, they will either move down to No. 7, or a couple spots up. It’s hard to gauge. His stock fell when coach didn’t put him in during state. If it stays this way it would be interesting because 2-5 need a QB while 1 does not.

Giants will be able to auction off first pick for a massive haul. I’ve never wanted my Giants to lose more than I do now. Raiders, Jets, Cardinals, Dolphins, maybe the Browns and Steelers all might want to trade up for a QB. Would the Rams want to use Atlanta’s pick to move up and draft a successor to Stafford? Giants could get multiple picks and address some holes. Steelers aren’t going QB in the 1st round.

They would have to give up multiple 1sts to go from 20 to 1. This class doesnt have a clear (cant miss) #1, so it wouldn’t be worth it. They might take a flyer on a 2nd or 3rd round guy. With one week remaining in the regular season, we actually know the top seven teams in the draft order, although there still could be some shuffling among that group. The order for picks 19-32 will be decided by playoff results — teams eliminated in the wild-card round will be placed into slots 19-24; divisional-round losers will hold picks 25-28, and so on. The first tiebreaker for draft positioning is strength of schedule, with the team that’s faced an easier schedule receiving the higher pick.
