Those trades even lead to some quarterbacks so it’s about to get real interesting for some of these teams. This NFL Mock Drafts addresses a lot of needs for certain franchises. Let’s dive into ESPN’s latest NFL Mock Draft going through the first three rounds. Yates has the odd-numbered picks while Kiper has the even-numbered ones.
Ward is the go-to pick at No. 1 at this point and if your NFL Mock Draft doesn’t have him here, what are you doing? The former Miami star is set to be a franchise changer. At least, that’s what the Titans hope for right? He steadily improved throughout his college career and the Titans are banking on this hard reset as a team. A few of the top NFL names from ESPN got together and released an alternating mock ahead of the 2025 NFL draft.
NFL draft guru Mel Kiper Jr. and league insider Field Yates went back-and-forth making selections throughout a three-round mock. In that area of the draft, the New York Jets hold one pick in each round. Those slots begin with the top selection at No 7 overall followed by No. 42 and 73. Here's how the Jets fared in the dueling mock from Kiper and Yates:
This article originally appeared on Jets Wire: 2025 NFL draft: ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr., Field Yates mock picks for Jets The 2025 NFL draft is just over a week away, and Round 1 is shaping up to be as unpredictable as ever. While a consensus has formed atop the 2025 NFL draft, there is little certainty about what will happen in the back end of the top 10 selections and beyond. Many players at each position group are closely bunched together on big boards by NFL teams and draft analysts alike. That's why it's important to look closely at mock drafts this time of year. They can help parse through the noise and rumors that percolate throughout draft season and give a more accurate projection of how each team will approach its first-round pick.
Recently, ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. and Field Yates put together a joint mock draft that spanned the draft's first 102 picks. Here are some takeaways from their exercise, which revealed the floors and ceilings of some of the top NFL draft prospects. Click here to read Kiper and Yates' full 102-pick mock draft. Phil Perry is back with another Mock Draft where the Patriots trade down to the ninth pick and draft Tight End, Tyler Warren. The New England Patriots have to address their offensive line, and specifically left tackle, early in the 2025 NFL Draft.
This position represents the team's most glaring roster weakness, and it's not even close. They have to find someone who can protect franchise quarterback Drake Maye. Therefore, it would make sense for the Patriots to select Will Campbell with the No. 4 pick in the first round. The LSU star is the No. 1 ranked left tackle in the class.
Campbell would be a safe pick, especially if Colorado wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter and Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter are off the board at No. 4. With the help of ESPN’s Field Yates, Kiper dropped a full three-round mock draft ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. and Field Yates dropped a three-round mock draft on Tuesday where they made back-and-forth selections.
Sticking with the Green Bay Packers’ original picks, rather than projecting trades for the team, Yates selected for the Packers in the first and third round, while Kiper picked for Green Bay in the... Below are their Packers’ picks from the mock draft: Yates’ selections are both players who went on pre-draft visits with the Packers: defensive linemen Shemar Stewart and T.J. Sanders. Stewart is a hyper-athletic defensive end who played in a run-first defense for Texas A&M but showed pass-rushing upside in limited snaps where he was allowed to play the pass first. Mel Kiper and Field Yates are offering yet another spin on what the New York Giants might do in the 2025 NFL Draft in a newly-released three-round combo mock draft. [Insider only] Let’s get to the picks and my thoughts on each. Kiper and Yates alternated picks. This is a Yates’ selection. He says:
The second-rated player on my board is just too good for the Giants to bypass, even with the QB concerns. They can wait until Day 2 to address that, especially if they aren’t sold on Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders. The Giants already have a quality edge rush group, but it’d become that much nastier with the addition of Carter, who had 12 sacks in 2024. Valentine’s View: This, of course, is the pick most analysts have settled on for the Giants at No. 3. The news that Shedeur Sanders will work out privately for the Giants on Thursday has fueled renewed speculation that the Colorado quarterback could be the pick at No.
3 for New York.
