The 2025 NFL Draft is just over a week away, and the order in which the next generation of NFL stars will be taken remains a mystery. Players have been talked up and then back down again as narratives ebb and flow during the pre-draft process. Some players have been linked with the same team repeatedly, while others have been impossible to pin down. In my latest two-round mock draft, I’ve attempted to avoid some of the chalkier picks (Las Vegas Raiders, Indianapolis Colts, Denver Broncos). While I couldn’t avoid every trend, this will hopefully provide refreshing reading for a few fanbases. Okay, so this one is about as chalky as it gets, but it’s also the pick that has the least amount of mystery surrounding it.

Ward possesses a calm, almost languid demeanor when under pressure, with the arm talent to fire accurate passes from any angle. The Cleveland Browns and New York Giants have reportedly thought twice about taking a gamble on a quarterback with their opening picks. Meanwhile, teams have made moves preparing for free agency and the NFL. Therefore, let’s dive into my fourth mock draft of the year before free agency starts. This mock draft is a two-rounder with 11 hypothetical trades. New York Giants receive pick 1. Tennessee Titans receive picks 3, 34, 2026 second-round pick. 1) New York Giants (via Titans) – Cam Ward (QB – Miami)

The top rumor from the NFL Combine was the Giants’ desire to sign Aaron Rodgers in free agency and trade up in the draft to select Ward. Ideally, he’s a full-time cornerback who contributes as a wide receiver in certain packages. His route running is a bit unpolished, but he’s a dynamic athlete with excellent ball skills.
