2025 nfl draft green room prospects cam ward among player invites

EDITOR'S NOTE: This post was updated on April 22 to reflect changes to the list of confirmed prospect attendees for the 2025 NFL Draft. Fifteen prospects have accepted invitations to attend the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin, which begins at 8 p.m. ET on April 24. The group includes two of the top quarterbacks in this year's class and one of the most fascinating draft prospects in recent memory. The attending quarterbacks are Miami's Cam Ward, the potential No. 1 overall pick of the Tennessee Titans, and Alabama's Jalen Milroe, an explosive player with dual-threat ability.

Among the 15 attendees are seven offensive players, seven defensive prospects and one true hybrid, Travis Hunter. The Colorado standout won the Heisman Trophy playing on both sides of the ball -- thriving at wide receiver and cornerback -- and appears determined to handle both duties in the NFL. The Heisman runner-up, Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty, also will be in attendance. Jeanty, who ran for 2,601 yards last season, is seeking to join Saquon Barkley and Bijan Robinson as the only running backs drafted in the top 10 since 2018. Editor's note: Follow 2025 NFL draft live updates, grades and analysis. Since 2020, the current generation has become more accustomed to remote work and sparse face-to-face interactions.

As a coincidental byproduct, attending the NFL draft in person has become less prevalent for the next wave of prospects. Despite the ease of staying at home, the NFL previously announced a list of 17 players who will be in attendance at the 2025 NFL Draft. This list has evolved over the past two weeks leading up to the first round, and we now know which players will be present in Green Bay. In total, 15 players will be present at the 2025 NFL Draft tonight. Cam Ward and Jalen Milroe are the only two quarterbacks who will be present in Green Bay after Jaxson Dart opted not to attend. Blue chip prospects Travis Hunter and Abdul Carter also headline the group attending the league's biggest offseason event.

Here's a full list of the players attending the NFL draft festivities: Prospective No. 1 pick Cam Ward will cross the stage and shake hands with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell later this month in Green Bay, Wis., as one of 17 prospects attending the 2025 NFL Draft. Joining him in the green room will be fellow quarterbacks Jaxson Dart and Jalen Milroe along with wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter, as announced by the NFL on Monday. Notably, potential first-round quarterback Shedeur Sanders was not listed as an attendee. The 17 attendees match the number who attended the Kansas City draft in 2023.

In-person draft attendance has teetered since the 2020 event was held virtually due to COVID. Just 13 prospects attended last year’s draft in Detroit, the second-fewest since 2010 behind the 12 who went to Cleveland in 2021. It’s worth noting, though, that all 13 prospects who attended in Detroit were selected in the first round. That makes Milroe’s attendance interesting as the 22-year-old ranks as the fifth-best quarterback in the class with a second-to-third-round grade, per The Athletic’s Dane Brugler. He and Dart (second-round grade) are the only two attendees without a first-round grade from Brugler. As of now, each of the 32 NFL teams have one first-round pick, with the Tennessee Titans picking first overall.

The NFL Draft will take place April 24-26. The NFL Draft starts on Thursday evening, and we'll get our first look at the next generation of stars. The three-day production is one of the most anticipated events in the NFL, as all 32 teams are building towards their futures. One of the most entertaining parts of the draft is watching player reactions once they're selected. Every year, some of the most highly-touted prospects sit and wait in the green room for their names to be called. When they get a call from the team selecting them, it's incredibly cool to see their reactions, oftentimes getting to celebrate with family and friends.

Let's take a look at the future NFL stars who will be in attendance in person at the 2025 NFL Draft. This year's list of green room attendees includes some of the biggest names in the draft. The group is headlined by Miami's Cam Ward, who is expected to be the first signal-caller taken in this year's class. Speaking of quarterbacks, the room will also include Alabama's Jalen Milroe. Other big non-QB names include Colorado two-way star and Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter, Penn State's Abdul Carter, Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty, LSU's Will Campbell and Michigan's Mason Graham. Hunter's teammate, Shedeur Sanders, will not be in attendance.

The NFL Draft green room is essentially a one-way ticket to being called in the first round of the draft. While there are certainly exceptions, the overwhelming majority of attendees are taken in Round 1. The 2025 NFL Draft is in the Titletown District near Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin, from April 24 to April 26, and the NFL just announced this year’s green-room invitees. So, who has received an invitation to the exclusive club? Last year, the green room had 13 attendees. Despite rumors that the NFL would be more exclusive with its invite list, the number actually increased to 16 this year.

Initially, the NFL announced 17 players would be in attendance at the 2025 NFL Draft, but two players have since been removed from the list — and there was a last-minute addition: QB Jaxson Dart and EDGE Mykel Williams were originally included, but they have since been removed from the list. Hairston, the Kentucky CB, was a last-minute addition (suggesting that his draft stock may be on the rise as the draft rapidly approaches). Seventeen prospects have accepted invitations to attend the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin, which begins at 8 p.m. ET on April 24. The group includes three of the top quarterbacks in this year’s class and one of the most fascinating draft prospects in recent memory.

QB Cam Ward is expected to hear his name called #1 overall by the Tennessee Titans and will be at the event in Green Bay. He heads a trio of QBs in attendance, including talented SEC passers, Jaxson Dart (Mississippi) and Jalen Milroe (Alabama). Among the 17 attendees are nine offensive players, seven defensive prospects and one unique two-way blue chip prospect, Travis Hunter of Colorado. Hunter won the Heisman Trophy playing both sides of the ball — excelling at wide receiver and cornerback and probably lines up at both positions in the NFL. The Heisman runner-up, Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty, will also be in attendance. Jeanty, who ran for 2,601 yards last season, is seeking to join Saquon Barkley and Bijan Robinson as the only running backs drafted in the top 10 since 2018.

Three of the highly touted talents at wide receiver — Hunter, Texas’ Matthew Golden and Arizona’s Tetairoa McMillan — will be in Titletown for this year’s draft. They head a deep group of receivers which probably will provide the most draft selections over the seven rounds. The offensive line will be represented by Alabama’s Tyler Booker, LSU’s Will Campbell and Ohio State’s Josh Simmons. Most of the 17 prospects will be selected on the first round, though a couple may have to wait until day two to hear their name called. It always create drama as the 32 selections are made to see if all know their pro destination. Regardless, any remaining player will probably go very early in the 2nd round and still a core member of their new club.
