On the third Friday of each month, come on in for some fun science for early elementary students. We'll have a different topic each month and plenty of science to explore for children ages 5-8. STEAM is short for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. The Thomas Crane Public Library offers loads of ways for kids and teens to explore STEAM concepts and develop their skills. Get ready to experiment, discover, and learn! Hands-on STEM workshops, programs, experiments and activities focused on building foundational science, technology, engineering, and math skills for K-7 students and sparking curiosity in STEM learning.

This five week series meets at the Main Library and will introduce coding in Scratch. Attendees learn the basics of programming, from the theory of how a computer program works, to the specifics of building a program of their own in Scratch. Learn how makerspace machines work, how to use them, and experiment with hands-on projects. Teens can explore and use maker equipment for free including Cricuts, 3D printers, and a laser cutter.
