Linda Yao, VP and GM of Hybrid Cloud and AI Solutions, Lenovo Solutions and Services Group Bob Pette, VP and GM of Enterprise Platforms, NVIDIA Generative AI is getting all the headlines, but it’s not a one-size-fits-all solution. “The real value of AI comes from aligning technical implementation with business priorities,” says Linda Yao, vice president and general manager of hybrid cloud and AI solutions at Lenovo Solutions and Services Group. That means enabling the right use cases, supported by the right infrastructure, data pipelines and deployment environments, in the right location, be that in the public cloud, on-premises or at the edge. That’s where hybrid AI comes in.

Combining the capabilities of public and private cloud computing with a ready-made on-premises processing solution, hybrid offerings can help companies jump-start their artificial intelligence efforts and get to return on investment faster. We spoke with Yao and Bob Pette, vice president and general manager of enterprise platforms for NVIDIA, during the latter company’s GTC AI conference to learn why hybrid AI might be the solution enterprises...
