Set A High Goal Deepstash
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - We all love to hear about shortcuts and secrets to make our lives easier and more fulfilling, but where do you go to get the information? If you want daily inspiration and ideas on how to do things better and improve your life, here’s an app designed to help. We can all use a little self-care from time to time. And inspiration is always a good thing. That’s the idea behind the app ‘Deepstash.’
Every day, editors curate news articles, quotes, and blogs and publish them to the app. Stories from lifehacker.com and Entrepreneur Magazine. Inspirational and motivational quotes from some of the world’s greatest minds, and lots of advice on how to deal with difficult people and situations. The app pulls together three ideas or articles on how love languages can improve your relationship with your significant other. Deepstash is a service that lets you read shortened versions of different media types. The App Store description states, “Learn something new in just 5 minutes, with daily bite-sized knowledge from books, articles, videos, podcasts & more.”
I heard about this app during a MacSparky Labs member meetup earlier this month. One of the participants talked about how he used it and enjoyed it. I was intrigued by the idea of a curated distilled ideas service, so I checked out the app. It seemed like it might be useful, so I subscribed to the Pro version for a year ($39.99, discounted from $89.99) I thought using Deepstash might help my personal growth and provide a source of ideas I could turn into blog posts. 1.
I’ve looked at many topics and been impressed with the helpfulness of the ideas listed. Well-curated summaries of the main ideas are broken down into bite-sized main points and bullet points. In today’s world of endless possibilities, it’s possible to find a product for almost any wish. I’m a big fan of both reading books and playing games, so I often wished for a gamified reading platform. Although there were plenty of options, none of them really appealed to me — until I discovered this gem! Deepstash provides daily, bite-sized knowledge from books, articles, videos, and podcasts.
It’s gamified, with users able to earn XPs by completing daily reading streaks and leveling up by reading ideas. “At Deepstash, we are introducing a new way to discover and interact with the content that matters to us. We are doing it through a format that matches our current consumption habits. Shorter, faster, better. We want to turn mindless scrolling into learning with a purpose. We are creating micro experiences that might inspire you, make you smarter, or connect with others who share your passions.” — Vladimir Oane, co-founder and CEO of Deepstash.
💎 Pro tip to avoid mindless scrolling: Keep Deepstash on your default home screen next to the important apps and move the distracting social apps to a different (less used) home screen. With a methodical and precise approach, the creators of Deepstash utilized the same features that already existed. They just knew how to use them in a way that would benefit the readers and managed to hit all the right spots. Welcome to this edition of our Tools for Thought series, where we interview founders on a mission to help us make the most of our mind. Vladimir Oane is the founder of Deepstash, a curation platform to become more inspired and productive through bite-sized ideas. Deepstash is built on the belief that ideas are the building blocks of the world and the Lego bricks for your mind.
It allows you to nurture your mind by “stashing” ideas, either from your own reading sources, or from the Deepstash community of curators. In this interview, we talked about the nature of ideas, how curation is an act of creation, the many benefits of curating ideas, an antidote to the problem of endless scrolling, and the power... Enjoy the read! Hi Vladimir, thank you so much for agreeing to this interview. Let’s start with a bit of a philosophical question: why do you think ideas are fundamental? Carl Yung once said: “We don’t have ideas.
Ideas have us.” At Deepstash we believe ideas are fundamental. They helped us transcend our animal nature, shape our behaviour and come together as a group. All personal and collective progress can be traced back to an idea. Ideas are the building blocks of the modern world. They’re the seeds of everything.
