This National Agenda for Continuing Education and Professional Development across Libraries, Archives, and Museums provides a broad planning and evaluation framework for the systemic strengthening of continuing education and professional development (CE/PD) across the... This document synthesizes three years of planning efforts convened by the Coalition to Advance Learning in Archives, Libraries and Museums, an effort supported by grants from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, supplemental... It includes the contributions of dozens of leaders from across the library, archives, and museum (LAM) fields, representing professional associations, training providers, and other LAM serving entities. Using Collective Impact methodology facilitated by the Educopia Institute, stakeholders identified four change goals to transform the current state of CE/PD. This agenda is a strategic action plan to meet these goals, which distributed actors can use to align and together improve the vitality of continuing education across all fields. ACTE is the largest national education association of thriving professionals dedicated to the advancement of education that prepares youth and adults for successful careers. Our members represent all facets of career and technical education. When you become an ACTE member, you are automatically a member of one of five geographic Regions, depending on the state in which you live. Each year, the Regions host their own conferences to provide members with professional development, leadership development and networking opportunities closer to home. The Association for Career and Technical Education® (ACTE) is organized into 12 Divisions to provide members with professional development resources, events and networking opportunities specific to their position or area of expertise. Library-specific courses and webinars available for free through the generous support of OCLC and state library agencies.

Help teen patrons become better navigators online. De-escalate conflicts to help patrons feel respected and valued. Foster a positive, inclusive environment. The Nebraska Library Commission provides, coordinates, and publicizes many continuing education opportunities for Nebraska's librarians.
These continuing education activities are designed to help library staff members enhance knowledge and improve skills in order to provide excellent service for their communities. To encourage professional development, Nebraska Library Commission staff administer the Nebraska Public Librarian Certification and the Public Library Board Certification programs. For more information about CE requirements and earning CE credit: The purpose of these grants is to assist Nebraska libraries with improvements to library services provided to their communities through continuing education and training for their library personnel and supporters. Public library board CE records are public and may be viewed at any time. OCLC offers a wide variety of options for product training.
