Open to students in grades 3-12, Saturday Studios gives young creators the chance to make art every weekend. Our virtual and in-person Spring Break programs allow students to spend their week off learning and creating. A rewarding and enriching summer activity for 7th, 8th, and 9th graders who are ready to grow as visual artists.
These two-week programs immerse students in rigorous artmaking and are ideal for 10th, 11th, and 12th-grade students interested in building their technical skills and portfolios. Creative Studios is an exciting and immersive two-week program for young artists entering grades 7–9 who want to deepen their understanding of the visual arts. Through daily studio classes, participants develop essential techniques, skills, and habits that support creative growth. Designed for students of all abilities, the program offers a variety of classes spanning disciplines and interests, fostering exploration and discovery for budding artists. Summer 2025 Schedule: July 28 – August 8, 2025 Classes run Monday through Friday Morning classes 9:00AM – 12:00PM Afternoon classes 1:00PM – 4:00PM

We offer diverse programs for students in grades 3-12 that give students the ability to access the power of the arts for their future success. During this virtual info session, you can meet the Youth Programs team, and learn about our Summer programming for students in grades 10-12, including Summer Intensives and Pre-College Summer Studios.

Offering elementary through high school students an affordable opportunity to engage in the process of art making and supporting the development of MassArt students as art educators. Courses in a variety of disciplines and media are available.
For students in grades 3-12. An intensive vacation week program for students Grades 7-12, offered during April school vacation. April 15-19, 2019. A fun and rigorous program for young artists to develop their creative voice and skills in disciplines they love, including painting, sculpture, fashion, architecture, computer animation, and more. For students entering Grades 7-9. Offering high school students serious about fine art and design a choice of focused studios to help develop technical skills and build studio practice.
Students have an opportunity to develop work for their portfolio. For students entering Grades 10-12. The MFA is a vibrant and engaging environment for teens! Teens develop leadership skills and learn about museum professions through the Teen Arts Council, provide valuable assistance to Museum visitors as Visitor Aides and Program Assistants, explore their creativity through studio art classes and... The application period for the 2025–26 cycle is over. The application period for 2026–27 opens in February.

Relaxing art making inspired by “Rachel Ruysch”: Grab a sketchbook and head to a special exhibition to draw still-life paintings, insects, and plants. Creative Studios is a fun and challenging program for young artists entering grades 7-9 who have a desire to expand their knowledge in the visual arts. Daily studio classes allow students to experience the rigor and excitement of art making by introducing techniques, skills and habits that are fundamental to successful work. For students of all abilities.
Creative Studios classes span a range of disciplines and interests for younger artists. Students may attend Creative Studios for the full day, or for morning or afternoon sessions only. These two day workshops in mid-January offer high school students a unique opportunity to dive deeply into their creative process with the MassArt community of makers. Students explore their artistic ideas in specialized modes of art-making that will expand upon their technical skills. Students attend both days of their chosen workshop.
