But that was fine with the Cowboys because they weren’t necessarily shopping for an RB1. He's only on a one-year deal worth a little over $1 million though, and it's clear the league has cooled on him as a bonafide three-down back. He averaged a pathetic 3.5 yards per carry as a Carolina Panther after averaging 5.0 with the Philadelphia Eagles, suggesting he was the beneficiary of an excellent offensive line instead of anything impressive himself.
